San Francisco, Day 4

A few hours on Alcatraz, then to Chinatown for lunch and Eve of Justice, an anti-propostion 8 rally, in the evening. Much, much more on flickr.

Where were you/what were you looking through when you took that second picture?

@Chrispy – Looking through a teeny tiny window in Alcatraz. I was trying to wait for those people to move, but they stood there for 10 minutes, and then were replaced by about a billion more tourists. So I just took the photo with them in it.

They don’t hurt the shot too terribly, especially if you claimed to know them.

I like that they’re so preoccupied with their cameras that they’re not looking at the view. And the smudge on the window blurs her face, adding to her anonymity.
